Congratulations, prayers and blessings to Sr Leonidah Nychero Mokua, FMSA, who consecrated her whole life to God, and to the service of the poor and forgotten in Africa by making her final vows on August 20th, 2021 in Christ the King Cathedral, Nakuru. Rt Rev Maurice Muhatia Makumba, Bishop of Nakuru offered the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass and presided over the ceremony during which Sr Maria Goretti Namono, FMSA received Sr Leonidah’s vows on behalf of our Congregational Leader, Sr Jeanette Watters, FMSA. Many of our sisters, novices and postulants participated, making it a joy-filled Franciscan occasion! Sr Leonidah has worked in Wau, South Sudan for over five years as a pharmacist and Youth Leader for the cathedral parish and organized emergency relief there during recent conflicts. Most recently she has served in Nakuru as assistant to the postulant formator, Sr Patricia Speight, FMSA.
