Ways of Being on Mission
Our efforts focus on addressing the root causes of poverty and suffering through four key areas: Education, Healthcare, Social Interventions, and Pastoral Ministries.
Our services are committed to:
- Ending Poverty: We aim to eliminate poverty in all its forms, everywhere.
- Ensuring Food Security: We collaborate with communities in Kenya, Uganda, Zambia, Zimbabwe, and South Sudan to promote sustainable, environmentally friendly agriculture and food production.
- Promoting Health and Well-being: The sisters provide a range of health services, including community-based care, hospital services, mental health support, and health promotion.
- Providing Quality Education: The FMSA is committed to providing inclusive, quality education and promoting lifelong learning opportunities, especially for those who are often left behind.
- Achieving Gender Equality: Our activities focus on empowering girls and women, particularly those who have been marginalized by unfair systems.
- Ensuring Access to Clean Water and Sanitation: We work with communities to provide safe, clean water and adequate sanitation for everyone.
- Promoting Affordable and Clean Energy: We support innovative energy solutions, like solar power, biogas, and energy from household waste, to provide affordable, reliable, and sustainable energy for all.
- Creating Opportunities for Decent Work: The sisters help disadvantaged and unemployed young adults rebuild their skills and capacity, giving them access to decent work and employment opportunities.
- Reducing Inequalities: Our efforts focus on empowering those on the margins of society, helping them reduce inequality, build capacity, and advocate for their rights.
- Taking Climate Action: We work with communities in Africa to promote climate restoration through activities such as raising awareness, planting trees, cleaning rivers and the environment, recycling, and reducing waste.
